Crystal Belle (Dingeman) Dykstra, 86, of Newton, formerly of Monroe, died Friday, July 17, 2015 at her home at Park Centre in Newton. Visitation will be at Pence-Reece Funeral Home in Newton on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral will be Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Monroe United Methodist Church in Monroe. Burial will be at the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Monroe United Methodist Church, First United Methodist Church of Newton, Silent City Cemetery in Monroe, or the Wittemberg Church Historical Society in Newton. The daughter of Jacob and Ivy Irene (Wood) Dingeman, Crystal was born on October 1, 1928 in Monroe, Iowa. She was a graduate of Monroe High School in 1946. Crystal was united in marriage to Herbert Eugene Dykstra on July 25, 1948 at the Monroe United Methodist Church. Crystal and her husband, Herb, owned and operated the Monroe movie theater. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society and was active with civic organizations such as Today's Club, American Legion Auxiliary and Phythian Sisters. Crystal was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church and attended First United Methodist Church services at Park Centre. Crystal loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling with Herb and spending time at their homes in Florida and Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. Crystal is survived by her daughter Roxann (Jim) Wormley, her granddaughters Krysten (Jeff) Osby and Kyla (Bob) Knudson, and her great-grandsons Grant and Cabe Osby and Derek Knudson all of Newton, her son Tim's family, her daughter-in-law Patty, her grandchildren T.J. (Amy) Dykstra of Altoona, Angie (Kasey) Barnes of Kellogg and her great-grandchildren Kylie, Mason and Dallas Dykstra and Kaitlyn, Olivia and Jacob Barnes. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years, Herb, her son Tim, sisters Donna in infancy, Phyllis Machin, Dorothy Hewitt and her great-granddaughter Kara Belle Osby.
